Notes from the December 5, 2018 Meeting
- Bike racks will be included in the Pope John Paul II Park playground improvements next fall.
- Some Greenway murals need restoration after graffiti attacks.
Artistic help is needed because colors need to be matched.
Email Jessica if you can help.
- Design
of the next piece of the Neponset Trail from Tenean Beach to Victory
Road is underway. It will be combined with the already-designed stretch
from Victory Road to Morrissey Blvd. as one construction project in a
collaboration between MassDOT and DCR. Watch for a public meeting on the
design.
Along the Trail:
Saturday, December 8 Walking Tour of Lower Mills
We
joined Laurie Zapalac of the Friends of the Boston HarborWalk for a
very informative guided tour of the Neponset River Greenway around Lower
Mills, exploring the trail and the historic mills along the river,
ending in one of the old mill buildings with a slide show about the
neighborhood and its industries.
