March Neponset River Greenway Council Meeting Cancelled!
Due to the effects of our latest Nor'easter on our venue, we have cancelled our March meeting.
Join us at our next meeting on Wednesday April 4 at the Foley Senior Residences, 249 River St. in Mattapan.
Our meetings are usually held on the first Wednesday of the month at rotating locations in communities of the Lower Neponset. Follow us on Facebook to keep up between meetings.

Biking on the Neponset Trail in the Winter
After the January 3rd Greenway Council meeting, Lee Toma and Jessica Mink biked home on the snow-covered Trail, and Lee set his camera to take this picture.
Greenway Under Seige By Weather
The full moon/storm high tide on March 3 flooded pieces of the trail from the marshes to Tenean Beach, and Lee Toma got some pictures looking at the trail and the Neponset River. The first shows a panorama near Granite Ave; the one on the left looks east from near Shawmut Junction, and the one on the right looks west toward Shawmut Junction across the flooded trail.
 
Celebrate Spring with a Neponset Trail Bike Ride
On Saturday, March 24, Jessica Mink will lead our annual ride on the Neponset Trail from Castle Island to Paul's Bridge and back. We'll leave at 10:00 am and return between 2:00 and 3:00 pm, depending on how many and how fast we are and how long we stop for food.

Join NepRWA at the Neponset River Cleanup on April 28
It's time to help cleanup and beautify our storm weary coastline. The winter of 2018 has wreaked havoc on many communities, as evidenced by the numerous images on television and social media. On a local level, while planning for our Annual Spring Cleanup, we’ve discovered areas along the Quincy RiverWalk and Neponset estuary that are in desperate need of TLC. Can you help with the cleanup? Bring a friend or two. Organize a group of co-workers. Come and make new friends! Whatever time you can give is much appreciated!
