Upper Charles River Reservation Saturday, July 20, 2013 I biked from near Fenway Park to a barbecue in Waltham early this evening, and arrived at the Blue Heron Bridge just before sunset. Since I had led two walks this afternoon to the bank of the Neponset River in Mattapan where a similar bridge is planned, I looked at this bridge and its environs with new eyes.

But this trail is not yet complete, either. It should go on to pass this Waltham smokestack and connect to the Charles River trail past Moody St.
